Meet Our Seniors

#2 Ashlyn "AJ" Johnson has played for Grissom Soccer for five years as an attacking midfielder. This season she looks forward to being a leader on the team, building good relationships with her new teammates, and savoring every last second she has in the program. Following graduation, she plans to pursue a career in healthcare as a physical therapist and major in pre-med at a medium sized college fairly close to home.

#13 Stephany "Steph" Giolo has played for Grissom Soccer for five years as a winger and forward. She is excited to be playing with new team members and to see what type of accomplishments they will have! Following graduation, she plans to pursue a career as a nursing major at Auburn University.

#14 Gracey Thornton has played for Grissom Soccer for two years as a holding and attacking midfielder. She is excited to play her favorite sport with her favorite people. Following graduation, she plans to pursue a career as a chemical engineer at Auburn University.

#16 Christina “Kruse” Kruse has played Grissom Soccer for 5 years as an attacking player. She is excited to work with younger players to develop the program and of course, beat Huntsville one last time! Following graduation, she will likely attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida to pursue an Aerospace Engineering degree on the astronautics track.

#17 Ashlyn "Riddle" Riddle has played for Grissom Soccer for five years as a defender. This season she looks forward to making new friendships and trying new things. Following graduation, she plans to pursue a career as a surgical tech.

#21 Natalie “Nat” Brown has played for Grissom Soccer for five years as a striker and attacking midfielder. She is so excited to give her all this last season with us and grow even closer with her teammates. Following graduation, she plans to attend the University of Alabama in Huntsville and major in teaching (k-6) while minoring in art.

#28 Ayndi Wimmer has played for Grissom Soccer for four years as an outside mid/back. She is super pumped to have their beach tournament this year, and most importantly to destroy Huntsville this season! Following graduation, she plans to continue her academic career in nursing at Piedmont University.

#37 Kaylen Leeman has played Grissom Soccer for four years in many different positions from striker to center back! She looks forward to making new friendships with the girls, competing, and just having fun last high school season! After graduation, she plans to attend SCAD, an art school in Savannah, Georgia where she will study graphic design and animation so she can work to become an animator!

Haley Kenney has played for Grissom soccer for two years as a midfielder and forward before becoming a manager her senior year. This season she looks forward to helping the coaches while still being apart of the program. She is especially excited to see the new talent coming onto the field and is confident we will have a great season! Following graduation, she plans to attend UAH before pursuing a career in the FBI, where she will major in criminal justice at the University of Alabama.

Catherine O’Halloran has been a manager for two years for Varsity Lady Tigers. She is excited to cheer her friends on when they inevitably destroy Huntsville. She is honored for the opportunity to be a part of the Grissom Soccer family and thankful for the love they have shown her family over the years. Following graduation, she plans to attend the University of Alabama in Birmingham following a poli sci/comms path.
